Acne Treatment

Acne is a common skin condition caused by inflammation of blocked sebaceous (oil) glands. Acne includes "whiteheads" (closed comedones), "blackheads" (open comedones), and inflammatory papules/nodules. Hormones, bacteria, genetics, skin trauma (dry irritants), diet, and stress are known factors that can cause acne.

Treatment can be a combination of topical, oral, and procedural therapies depending on the individual.
